Haskin Park
The community of Haskin Park is located just west of the Village of Five Parks Town Square. The heart of the Haskin neighborhood is the park itself, named after the historical Hiram Arvada Haskin, arriving in the Colorado area in 1859 and settling eventually in the Arvada area. Residents use the winding pathways of the park to walk their dogs, or just sit on park benches for some conversation and laughter. In the center of the beautifully landscaped park is a fountain and gazebo.
Surrounding this park area are spatially integrated tree lined neighborhoods with 114 patio homes and townhomes. Each residence has its own front porch which adds to the camaraderie of Haskin Park’s environment.
Preserving the beauty and upkeep of trees, landscaping and home exteriors is a top priority for us. Most recently, the Haskin HOA contracted with Bartlett Tree Experts to provide much needed servicing of our trees. After an extensive inspection, Bartlett implemented a Care Program which included necessary removal of several trees, clearance and structural pruning, as well as Plant Health Care Treatments for insect and disease control, and continued seasonal deep root fertilization and soil care. All services have been and will continue to be provided by expert arborists with an eye to maintaining the health, beauty and value of our area and our trees.
Since we are a community of involvement and gathering, the board is currently planning an August summer picnic to be held in Haskin Park for our residents. It will be a time for getting to know new neighbors, sharing favorite recipes and just plain fun.
